2012 Renault Duster Concept and Engine

New 2012 Renault Duster is an antidote to that idea. With a length of 4.31 metres and a width of 1.82 metres, Renault Duster is very compact. Its Megane-size proportions ensure that it is as at home in built-up areas as it is off the beaten track. Renault Duster was designed to cope with all types of road and track, all over the world. In order to meet these wide-ranging needs, Renault Duster will be available in both 4x4 and 4x2 form. The strengthened underside of Renault Duster is suitable for loose-surfaces and all-terrain use thanks to: high ground clearance of 210mm, short overhangs (822mm at the front, 820mm at the rear) and big clearance angles.

Renault Duster's occupants will appreciate the high standard of travelling comfort it provides, whatever the type of road or terrain, thanks to its high ride-height (205mm in 4x2 version and 210mm in 4x4 version) and specific work on its suspension (damper travel, springs and calibration). Comfort is further enhanced by Duster's long wheelbase (2.67m) and big 16-inch wheels. Renault Duster can be ordered with a 1.6 16V 105 petrol engine or a dCi 85 diesel engines, both of which have already showcased their qualities under the bonnet of numerous other Renault models. The combined cycle fuel consumption of the 4x2 and 4x4 versions of Renault Duster dCi 85 is just 5.1 and 5.3 litres/100km respectively. The combines cycle fuel consumption of the 4x2 and 4x4 versions of Renault Duster 1.6 16V 105 is 7.5 and 7.9 litres/100km respectively.

Renault Duster benefits from Renault’s acclaimed expertise in the area of safety. On the active safety front, Renault Duster features, depending on versions, Bosch 8.1 ABS, as well as EBV electronic brakeforce distribution and EBA emergency brake assist. On the passive safety front, Renault Duster is fitted, as standard, with two front airbags (depending on market) and three-point seat belts with load limiters for the front seats, to which pyrotechnic pretensioners can be added. Depending on the version, two lateral head/thorax airbags are fitted in addition to the driver and passenger front airbags.

2012 Renault Frendzy New Concept

Renault’s latest concept car has a dual personality. These days, professional and personal lives are so intricately interwoven that drivers find themselves permanently channel-hopping between one world and the other. The role of Renault Frendzy is to be a partner that takes the strain out of this lifestyle. On the passenger’s side, there’s no glazing and no centre pillar, just one conventional door and one sliding side door which incorporates a 37-inch widescreen display. This is the world of work. The driver’s side, complete with side windows, still no centre pillar, but with centre opening doors represents the world of the family.

New 2012 Renault Frendzy is a vehicle that adapts to the requirements of the business user, with a large external screen that can display useful messages or information (such as “making deliveries” or “back in five minutes”, the battery-charging method or the remaining charge) or advertising messages, either whilst parked or on the move. Come the weekend, the vehicle transforms itself into a family vehicle, with a comfortable passenger seat and, in the rear, a big bench seat. Depending on their mood of the moment, children can watch a film or play games on the touch-sensitive pad which slides out from the back of the driver’s seat. They can even draw on a special slate integrated into the sliding door.

2012 Renault Frendzy
2012 Renault Frendzy
The driver’s side cockpit is designed along the theme of a futuristic ‘work bench’ featuring a structure which appears to be made from molten metal. Green light emanating from the dashboard brings this smooth and organic architecture to life. These lights signify the ‘work’ mode and tie in with the colour displayed on the exterior of the vehicle. Dominant throughout is the sense that the interior forms a cosy cabin which echoes the simple yet practical world of camping, and this is further reflected by extensive use of wood. Indeed, as much a symbol of warmth as it is of strength and timelessness, wood forms a link between the two modes. The leather latticework seats and removable accessories also refer to the camping metaphor.

2012 Renault Frendzy
The chief new feature of Frendzy as an electric vehicle is the extensive work that has gone into the sounds it produces. This work was carried out in conjunction with IRCAM (Institut de Recherche et Coordination Acoustique / Musique). Electric vehicles are silent, so one of the big challenges facing Renault is customizing the sound they produce for safety reasons, notably at slow speeds.

2012 Renault Frendzy Interior
2012 Renault Frendzy Dasboard
Through accident analysis, Renault Frendzy has developed extensive knowledge on accident mechanisms. We can assess the efficiency (lives saved and injuries avoided) of each safety system and rank the systems to be fitted on our vehicles to optimize their real safety. One of the first accident studies was made on the Dauphine! Since then, safety has always fuelled our technical thinking and we have never stopped innovating. Seatbelt load limiters and anti-submarining systems are Renault inventions.

Renault’s passion for performance, style and safety is what drives us to create unique automotive concepts,
ranging from practical and versatile people movers to high performance coupés and hot hatches. But there is
one thing that they all share in common, and that is the race-bred technology that makes every Renault a pleasure to drive and own.

2011 Renault Mégane

The new 2011 Renault Megane environmental policy is based on an understanding of the ecological challenges that our planet faces. This policy has three commitments; to be one of the world’s top three car makers for low level emissions of CO2. To offer a range of models powered by biofuels such as bioethenol and biodiesel and to develop a wide range of technologies. Renault underlines its commitment to protecting the environment and so offers a range of vehicles that are both economical and ecologically sound. Ecologically sound through a commitment to reducing the environmental impact for the entire lifespan of the car From the outset, each new project incorporates production processes, choice of materials, pollutant and CO2 emissions, fuel consumption and recycling.

Economical in terms of fuel consumption. Renault emphasises that the solution too many great ecological challenges lie in technological advancements that can be applied to the majority of vehicles whilst maintaining
attractive pricing. Recycling Renault strives to manufacture vehicles that are environmentally safer than ever before. Oone of Renault’s strengths is its capacity to integrate the environment into every stage of a vehicle project right from the design phase until the end of its life cycle. Eco-design of current vehicles enables 95% of their weight to have a second life. Iit also means that an increasing number of components are made of recycled plastics and renewable  materials.

2011 Renault Wind Roadster

The 2011 Renault Wind Roadster engine and chassis is based on a platform that has been engineered by Renaultsport Technologies to give you outstanding steering precision and thrilling responses. And the performance orientated 1.6 VVT 133 engine is borrowed from Twingo Renaultsport (ESC with disconnection function). The thrum of its sports-sounding engine acoustic, low driving position, rigid chassis and superb balance are the spicy ingredients that conjure up a dynamic and precise drive. Where will your playground be? In the city or out on the open road? But hang on... who said you had to choose? We kick-started it with a very smart, original idea: a pivoting, electric hard-top roof. Result ? It opens in just 12 seconds to transform the coupé into a roadster. And vice versa. Simple, practical, and super-quick ? Certainly. But here’s the twist. Incredibly, the boot still keeps its same storage space of 270 litres even when the roof is stowed. Nothing else even comes close. We know that the car is at a turning point, it has to evolve whether you believe in global warming or not; to emit less in cities, to make less noise and to use increasingly scarce energy more effi ciently.
2011 Renault Wind Roadster

At 2011 Renault Wind Roadster we are working to create more affordable cars, with radically lower CO2 emissions. For the widest possible audience. Today that’s our collection of 35 ‘eco2’ models. Eco2 indicates that the vehicle produces CO2 emissions lower than 140 g/km, it includes at least 5% recycled plastic in its plastic mass, and has been designed in such a way that 95% of the materials used could have a second life (recyclable for other use or as a source of energy). In addition eco2 means that our factories are ISO 14001 certified.  Starting next year there will be a groundbreaking range of electric vehicles, from a nippy town car to a comfortable family saloon and a small van. They will be affordable to run – you will be able to drive up to 100 miles using a battery that costs typically £3 to charge, and a lot less using cheaper tariffs. And parking and congestion charges should all be lower, too.We believe it’s time to make the car a driver of progress once more. We are determined to drive that change.

2011 Renault Captur Sporty Crossover and DeZir Concept

At the Frankfurt Motor Show, Renault revealed its new brand identity which puts people at the forefront of its concerns. The new, ambition design strategy that resulted from this is founded on different stages of the human life cycle with each phase taking the form of a specific concept car. The first, the two-seater DeZir, expressed ʻfalling in loveʼ, the passion present at the beginning of any new adventure. Now Renault Captur, which will debut at the 2011 Geneva Motor Show, addresses the second phase of this cycle, that of two people exploring the world around them. Just like its predecessor, 2011 Renault Captur defines the simple, sensuous and warm style that will be progressively extended to future Renault car designs. “2011 Renault Captur is a fun and sporty crossover, ideal for a young couple about to discover the world”, explains Director of Design, Laurens Van den Acker. “It takes as its basis the fundamental design language introduced on the DeZir concept car but adds a more technical dimension – more functional but still highly sensuous," adds Axel Breun, Director of concept cars.

2011 Renault Captur

A CROSSOVER THATʼS ALL MUSCLE IN MOTION
In its proportions and fluid curves, 2011 Captur evokes movement and lightness, yet at the same time displaying powerful and muscular all-terrain cues. Just as with DeZir, angles, corners and lines have given way to sensuous and natural forms. For the exterior designer, Julio Lozano, the main sources of inspiration were athletes and radical sports. "In designing 2011 Captur, I began with the image of a sprinter on the starting blocks, his muscles tensed, and the energy unleashed when the starting pistol is fired," he explains The design also references equipment such as helmets, gloves and other protective gear used in radical sports, combining high technology with sophistication and lightness.

2011 Renault Captur

2011 Renault Captur adopts the new frontal identity first presented by DeZir. As with this, the identity has
as its centrepiece a large Renault logo, set vertically against a dark surface so as to stand out as clearly as possible. Substantial, matt-finished wings reinforce the designʼs visual strength. LEDs relay the direction indicator signal in a wave effect running the whole length of the vehicle. 2011 Renault Captur does more than simply stir the emotions: it is also a practical and versatile vehicle. It is fitted with a hard convertible top which, once removed, reveals a carbon fibre framework. 2011 Captur can thus transform itself from a coupé to a convertible, from an urban vehicle to an off-roader, while its overall sporty appeal is reinforced by its butterfly doors and big tyres fitted to 22-inch black and white rims. With its bodywork finished in a spicy shade of orange, Renault Captur takes its cue from the red championed by DeZir. This colour appears in a variety of different shades on materials both inside and outside the vehicle.

2011 Renault Captur

AN INTERIOR FULLY BATHED IN WARMTH AND LIGHTNESS
The orange theme has been carried over to the cabin which also features fluorescent highlights picked out by a constant stream of light. "My main sources of inspiration were the human body, outdoor sports and urban styling," explains the colour and trim designer, Kana Watanabe. "I wanted Captur to radiate warmth and dynamism." The interior of 2011 Renault Captur is designed to be both welcoming and occupant-friendly. The impression of lightness expressed by the exterior is dominant here, too, with the front seats attached to the centre console as if suspended in mid air. The passenger compartment is restrained and pure, with no superfluous equipment. Innovative and ingenious materials have been employed, allowing the designers to play with light and  optical effects.

The centre console, door casings and dashboard are formed using a translucent material rather like a second skin. At the front of the cabin, this includes a glimpse of the high-tech fibre ropes, luminescent in places, which have been used for most of the passenger compartment. "The whole of the interior is designed around this network of stretched elastic ropes which bring to mind the worlds of sailing or mountain climbing, They use graphics and light to bring rhythm to the overall design and reinforce the dynamic feel of the vehicle while also ensuring a lighter feel inside the cabin," explains the interior designer, Magali Gouraud-Borgers.

2011 Renault Captur

AN INNOVATIVE CROSSOVER - STRONG ON PERFORMANCE AND LIGHT ON FUEL
2011 Renault Captur makes use of the Energy dCi 160 twin-turbo engine concept, developed from the new Energy dCi 130 that will eventually replace the 1.9 dCi. Downsizing is a key element in Renaultʼs strategy to meet its declared objective of being Europeʼs leading automaker for low CO2 emissions. The range of electric vehicles will run alongside internal-combustion engined models that combine performance with reduced fuel consumption. The Energy dCi 160 twin-turbo fits perfectly within this strategy. It produces 118kW (160hp) from a capacity of 1.6 litres thatʼs a specific power output of 100hp per litre. Peak torque (380Nm) is available from as low as 1,750rpm, giving powerful  acceleration from low revs, as well as refined performance under all driving conditions. Paired with a dual clutch EDC gearbox, this driveline promises genuinely enjoyable driving with CO2 emissions of less than 99g per kilometre.

Capturʼs performance is further enhanced by the RX2, a novel system that improves traction at low speeds. Should one of the two driven wheels lose traction, this entirely new mechanical self-locking differential transfers all or part of the engineʼs torque to the wheel with the most grip. Driving on slippery roads and tracks thus remains smooth and effortless.

2011 Renault Captur Interior

2011 Renault Captur also marks the debut of the Visio-System, an innovation that uses a forwardfacing camera mounted at the top of the windscreen to provide driver-assistance functions. This new technology is able to embed synthesised images into real-time images of the road ahead displayed on a central screen; this is the principle of augmented reality, aiming to enhance the driverʼs perception of the external world by superimposing purposedesigned elements. The system helps reduce driving stress, for a relaxed, reassuring drive.

Renault Samsung: today business

Renault-Samsung
Renault Samsung: today business - Today, Renault Samsung Motors (RSM) has a good market position in Korea's automobile, with its SM5 cars to stand out from competitors. In addition, RSM is in the process of changing its product architecture based on a foundation of Renault Nissan. For example, the new generation Nissan Sylphy Mégane resumes SM3 base. Furthermore, in accordance with the development trend of the Renault-Nissan Alliance, petrol engines continued to be provided by Nissan, while diesel engines will be supplied by Renault. In addition, QM5 (a cross in the name of the Vehicle Code: H45) was developed jointly with Nissan (which is also using the QM5 as a basis for its next Xtrail, codenamed P32M). It is sold in Korea, Europe, China, Mexico and South America, and more new vehicles are expected in the future.

This will increase the company's current production capacity of 125 000 ~ 130 000 units of about 250,000 in 2010, when most of the production has increased direct BRIC countries, including China, Russia, and even in parts' Europe.

As Renault does not have R & D and only a few plants in Asia, RSM expansion efforts spearheaded by Renault in the rapidly developing market in Asia. Furthermore, Renault continued to use the name "Samsung" until 2020 under a licensing agreement with Samsung Group.

The new 2011 Renault Sandero stands out as a stylish and sturdy hatchback, with appealing looks that convey both solidity and dynamism. The expressive contoured headlamps, bold front bumper and sporty grille combination perfectly matches its sleek bodywork, making an immediate impression on the beholder. The 2011 Renault Sandero is more than just a mode of transport it is undeniably attractive and offers a safe and affordable ride in true style. The exterior design makes an immediate impression on the beholder, it’s both stylish and appealing. Expressive contoured headlamps, bold front bumper and a sporty grille combine perfectly to match its sleek body work.

The exterior design gives an impression of a roomy interior, and upon entering the vehicle, one is pleasantly surprised to find that the interior space is even bigger than one thought. The Renault Sandero can carry five large adult occupants comfortably. But what about the luggage space? The Renault Sandero has the biggest boot space in its segment, in some cases even larger than vehicles in higher segments. With an impressive 320 litres of boot space, the Renault Sandero can pack plenty of luggage with ease something not usually associated with hatchbacks.

The 2011 Renault Sandero’s design, both exterior and interior, is a pure impression of solidity and sturdiness in the bodywork. 2011 Renault Clio Styled Design Body Concept Performance

The 2011 Renault Clio range of small hatchbacks has enjoyed much success in Europe since the original model was released in 1990. Twelve years and many updates later, the current Renault Clio line-up is now available in Australia in either three or five door hatchback variants and with a choice of three specification levels. The entry level Renault Clio is a five door hatchback called Expression. This variant is powered by a 1.4 litre 16 valve engine and there is a choice of a five speed manual gearbox or a four speed automatic transmission. The 2011 Renault Clio Privilege is the next model in line and is also a five door hatchback. The Privilege features a larger capacity 1.6 litre 16 valve engine mated to a five speed manual gearbox. However, buyers who opt for an automatic transmission must make do with the 1.4 litre engine from the Expression. Topping out the Renault Clio range is a three door hatchback that is equipped with a potent 2.0 litre 16 valve engine. Known as the Clio Renault Sport, this model is available only with a five speed manual transmission.

2011 Renault Clio

Pricing for Renault’s Clio range remains competitive and starts from just $19,990 for a manual Renault Clio Expression. The manual 2011 Renault Clio Privilege evaluated for this report retails for $23,990 and the Renault Sport is the most expensive model in the range, priced at $32,990. The above prices do not include dealer charges and on-road costs. The Renault Clio is a modern and smartly styled hatchback that reflects its European heritage. The front of the Renault Clio is distinguished by quite large headlights, and a distinctive Renault diamond badge is centrally located in a Renault family grille. Overall, the Renault Clio is pleasantly styled and our test vehicle exhibited an acceptable level of finish that is on par with most other vehicles in the small car class.

One of the strong points of the Clio range is the generous level of standard equipment fitted to each variant. For instance, some of the standard features of the Renault Clio Privilege include power steering, climate control air conditioning, electric mirrors, alloy wheels (steel spare), remote central locking, power front windows, six speaker AM/FM stereo with single CD, multi-function trip computer and engine immobiliser. The Clio Privilege also rates well in terms of the standard safety features fitted. These items include anti-lock brakes (ABS) with electronic brake distribution (EBV), emergency brake assist, driver and front passenger SRS airbags, and driver and passenger side SRS airbags, while seat belt pretensioners are fitted to the front and rear outboard seating positions.

2011 Renault Clio

Occupants of the Renault Clio’s front seats enjoy quite a generous amount of head room and there is a good range of seat travel that provides ample leg room. The front bucket seats are quite large and soft, and offer good lateral support. While the driver’s seat was quite comfortable, I found it difficult to find a seating position that provided the correct distance to the pedals as well as the steering wheel (a certain amount of telescopic steering column adjustment would overcome this problem). Unfortunately, all is not well for rear seat passengers, as both head and leg room are very limited.

The control layout and positioning of instruments in the Renault Clio is a typical European affair with the indicators located on the left hand stalk and the controls are easy enough to operate. Interestingly, the windscreen wipers pivot from the left side of the vehicle and in so doing, fail to wipe the top right corner of the windscreen in front of the driver. In general, vision from the driver’s seat is good, although the curved glass in the rear hatch results in quite a distorted view from the rear vision mirror.

Renault Clio

The 1.6 litre engine powering the Renault Clio Privilege produces fairly modest maximum power and torque figures that belie the actual performance on offer. On the road, the Renault Clio is a willing performer that has a torquey nature, smooth power delivery and returns good fuel economy. The manual gearshift has a reasonably long throw and the clutch action requires some effort to operate smoothly in stop start city traffic. The suspension in the Renault Clio is reasonably soft and does a good job of soaking up bumps, as well as producing a comfortable ride. The handling is confident and predictable, and overall the Clio exhibits good road holding. ABS brakes are a welcome standard feature and provide good stopping power.

Renault’s small hatchback, the 2011 Renault Clio, is available in three different models that appeal to both the budget conscious motorist and the sporting enthusiast. The mid-range model is the Renault Clio Privilege and is powered by a 1.6 litre engine that delivers good performance and a comfortable ride. While the Renault Clio features an impressive level of standard equipment, the lack of space for rear seat passengers detracts from the vehicle’s functionality.
