Indonesian car business news update june 13 2011 - NISSAN TO SPEND $250 MLN FOR FACTORY IN INDONESIA:  Japanese car producer Nissan will spend $250 million to build production facilities in Indonesia, said Gita Wirjawan, head of the Investment Coordinating Board. (Bisnis Indonesia p.9)

Car distributor Proton Edar Indonesia expects to build a factory in Indonesia in 2016 when sales are seen reaching 10,000 units, said Mazlan Mohd Zain, the company's general manager, adding it expects 2011 sales will reach 5,000 units. (Investor Daily p.8)
