Fiat India Launches Next Generation Linea T- Jet in Kolkata

Fiat India Automobiles C segment offering Linea won many admirers when it was first launched in January 2009.Fiat Linea T-Jet Yesterday with the launch of the next generation Fiat Linea T-Jet the company is ready to redefine the performance and luxury benchmarks in the C segment. With an array of best in class features the new Italian beauty is reminiscent of higher segment cars. With a brand new T-Jet engine the new Fiat Linea will be a powerhouse. The new imported power train delivers 114 PS power and an unbelievable torque of 207 Nm, enough to leave all its competitors behind. With this, the Fiat Linea will be the first and only car in the premium sedan segment to boast of a turbo charged petrol engine.

The Fiat Linea T-Jet comes with 13 new features and 7 class leading equipment is sure to delight its owners. The cars sets new benchmarks in the area of performance, safety,comfort,ride and handling and in- car Infotainment. All 4 disc brakes(a first in the segment) developed with Dual airbags,ABS with EBD. Bigger 16 inch alloy wheels with wider 205/55 R16 tyers and longest wheel base of 2603mm and enhanced ground clearance of 170mm. Fiat Cars to Launch Cheap Small Car in India Next Year

Fiat Cars is planning for the new launch of cheaper hatchback small car model in the Indian market next year. Encouraging sales of the Fiat Punto and the Fiat Linea have prompted Fiat India plans for this new car. Fiat Cars tie-up with Tata Motors has indeed breathed a new lease of life into the manufacturer's India plans.

Recent launches by Fiat is its small car Fiat 500. Fiat went on to sell 64 units till date - Price Rs. 15 lakh for a small car. Its very tough for a car manufacturer to sell small car on hight price thats why they are thinking about launching a small car in Rs 3 - 3.5 lakh range.

Fiat India Automobiles president and chief executive officer Rajeev Kapoor said "We are working on a small car which will be launched either by end of next year or early 2012. We are essentially a small car player which we tried to change with Linea but our strength is still in small cars. That will work in our favour when we introduce the small car which will be a benchmark car for Fiat."

Fiat is also planning and working on a brand new Fiat Linea for the Indian market. Fiat have plans to launch it with newer engine (high-power 1.4 turbo charged gasoline engine) options later this year.

Fiat India Unveiles Fire Dynamic & Fire Emotionin Variant of Grande Punto

True to its commitment of offering customers top class automobiles, Fiat today announced the launch of their two new Grande Punto variants: Fiat 1.2 FIRE Dynamic and Fiat 1.2 FIRE Emotionin the heart of the premium petrol hatchback segment. With the launch of these variants Fiat can now woo the Indian consumer with an irresistible offer - an array of features present in the new variants and the bold pricing of these cars.

Grande Punto, Fiat's best selling large hatch offers incredible standard high end features like Tilt Steering, Front Power windows, Fire Prevention System, and Programmed Service Reminder in its entry level 1.2 Active variant. Apart from these, the 1.2 Dynamic variant will also offer rear power windows and central locking system. As a special introductory offer, the 1.2 Dynamic will also come fitted with an exclusive CD/MP3 player, for limited period of one month.

Fiat Opens 100th Dealership in India

Fiat India announced the opening of Bharati Automobiles, its 100th dealership in India. The new dealership, which is a Tata-Fiat one, was inaugurated by Mr. S. Krishnan, Senior Vice President, Tata Motors. Bharati Automobiles is the fourth dealership that has been set up in the city of Mumbai.

The new dealership is located at CTS 227, Western Express Highway, near Jogeshwari Flyover, Jogeshwari(E), Mumbai and will handle all the three aspects of sales, service and spare parts for Fiat automobiles. This move marks an important moment in Fiat India’s plans for the year 2010.

After enjoying a successful 2009, the opening of the 100th dealership is a positive way for Fiat to begin the New Year. Backed by the joint venture with Tata Motors, the 100th dealership is a firm portrayal of Fiat’s commitment to a large and expansive service network that now spans across 78 cities in India. Fiat Grande Punto 'Super Mini' Car Launched India

Close on the heels of the launch of the Honda Jazz, comes the Fiat Grande Punto. A week after Honda launched its first small car, Jazz, Intalian carmaker Fiat also launched Super Mini car 'Grande Punto' in India. Fiat's second hatchback in the country. The Fiat Grande Punto both in petrol and diesel are available priced between Rs 3.99 lakh and Rs 6.11 lakh ex-showroom, New Delhi. The car promises to provide best comfort level to its users.

The Fiat Grande Punto, a hatchback in both petrol and diesel variants, is a joint venture of Fiat and Tata Motors and has premium features like ABS (anti-lock braking system) and EBD (Electronic Brake Distribution).

The third generation Fiat supermini to bear the name Punto, codenamed Project 199, the Grande Punto was unveiled at the 2005 Frankfurt Motor Show and went on sale later that year. Styled by Giugiaro, the car is based on the Fiat/GM SCCS platform. Whilst the model shares some of its name with the previous Punto, a large number of its components are new, including a new chassis and body shell.

A Fiat India official said,"The launch of Grande Punto marks a new milestone for Fiat in India as we bring the quintessentially Italian designs to Indian shores".

The Fiat Grande Punto petrol variant is equipped with 1.2L and 1.4L engines that pump 65 and 77 horses respectively, the diesel variant has a 1.3L multijet diesel engine.

Based on the same platform as the Linea, the Grande Punto will be available with three engines - a 1.2-litre FIRE petrol engine with 67 bhp of peak power (which it also shares with the Tata Indica Vista), a 1.4-litre FIRE engine (based on the 1.4 Linea) with 88.5 bhp of peak power and the renowned 1.3 Multijet fixed geometry turbo common rail diesel with 74.5 bhp of peak power. The 1.2 is available in a single trim - Active with the 1.4 available in Dynamic, Emotion and Emotion Pack trims.

This Fiat Super Mini Car will be available in six colours with safety equipment such as driver and passenger airbags and ABS equipped brakes as standard on the higher models, while the car is Euro NCAP 5 star rated for a fully loaded model.

Fiat Grande Punto to be Launched on June 17 in India

Fiat India has announce the launch date of both the petrol and diesel versions of the Fiat Grande Punto. It is a mid-size hatchback & will be launched on June 17 2009 in New Delhi.
